Chef Lowen wins Rutgers Culinary Challenge

The Division of Dining Services congratulates Tillett Dining Hall's Chef, Allan Lowen, First Place winner of the Culinary Challenge.
Chef Lowen will compete in the NACUFS Mid-Atlantic Regional competition in Hershey, Pennsylvania in March 2007. The winner of that competition will move on to the NACUFS National Culinary Challenge which will be held in Seattle in July 2007.
The Culinary Challenge provides recognition to NACUFS college and university culinary professionals in a venue where they can exhibit culinary talents, techniques, and regional food styles. Contestants, chosen in regional culinary challenges, compete to prepare four portions of an original hot entree. This year's featured ingredient is tofu.
